JAVA is an object oriented programming language developed by James Gosling at SUN Microsystems in 1995. At that time Java became very popular in very shorter time, because java intr4oduced first time a new concept which is "WORA" which means Write Once Use Anywhere. This was also called platform independance which facilitate us to use our code written for windows platform can run also on mac OS and Linux. So this features was the dream of the programmers because they have to write code again in when they are going for a different operating system. Another concept which made java more popular was that it made internet applications more useful, better and powerful providing applet programming. Later on C# was introduced by Microsoft which too is OOP based language very concise and powerful. Now both are the competing in programming world.
